Job Title: Community Coalition Coordinator

Program: Partnership for Success (PFS) grant

 

 

The Alcohol and Substance Abuse Council of Jefferson County, Inc., d/b/a Pivot, is seeking a full-time Community Coalition Coordinator to work with the Alliance for Better Communities within the Partnership for Success (PFS) grant. Focus will be on prescription drug abuse and heroin use prevention.


The Community Coalition Coordinator will be responsible to assist in general day-to-day activities and organization, capacity-building, planning, implementation, and evaluation activities associated with PFS priorities. The Coordinator will guide the Coalition to develop and implement strategies leading to long-term involvement of community institutions, organizations, and individuals in prescription drug abuse and heroin use prevention. The Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring that necessary state and federal reporting requirements are met.


Minimum requirements are a Master’s Degree and relevant experience in public health or health education, administration, policy/planning, or in community/organizational psychology; or a Bachelor’s Degree and five years of appropriate experience in managing or coordinating a community-based public health or health-related agency.

Prevention Educator (St. Lawrence County)

 

 

Job Description:

Pivot is seeking applicants for a part-time (17.5 hours per week) Prevention Educator working with underserved youth and their families. The selected applicant will provide evidenced-based prevention programs in the evenings and weekends at the Boys and Girls Club at Massena New York. Primary job duties involve scheduling, recruitment and implementation of the programs “Too Good for Drugs”, “SPORT Prevention Plus Wellness” and “Parenting Wisely”.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in human services or related discipline. Experience with providing group educational presentations preferred. EOE, Competitive salary. Administrative Assistant

 

 

Seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant for a not-for-profit agency and associated community coalition. This person must possess knowledge of the principles and practices of basic office management and bookkeeping, possess excellent secretarial skills, be highly organized and demonstrate proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, and other software applications. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, exemplary interpersonal skills and be able to maintain confidentiality.  He or she must work well alone or as a part of a team.

Qualifications: as above and a minimum of associate’s degree in Office Technology or equivalent, and/or Human Services or related field, bachelor’s degree preferred.

This is a full-time, 35-hour per week position with a competitive salary and excellent benefit package. EEO
